TOUCH is a silent, durational performance where two artists meet once a year to offer touch as dialogue. Guided by tactile listening and intuition, the piece unfolds through the simple act of offering a hand to the face of the other. It evolves over time and responds to its surroundings, exploring intimacy and presence beyond words and biographies. We meet only once a year to perform the piece, allowing time to become part of the work. It becomes a ritual – a relationship lived only through performance.
The piece premiered at Bomuldsfabrikken Kunsthall, where it responded to a forest-themed exhibition space. Inspired by that, we now wish to continue exploring how different environments can shape the atmosphere and texture of TOUCH. The piece can be performed either indoors or outdoors, as we are interested in being provoked and shaped by the space we inhabit.

As artists, we’re interested in formats that invite meditative attention, bodily attunement, and non-verbal communication. Our backgrounds are in acting – Ingeborg from Nord Dramatic Arts (Norway) and Linnea from the Theatre Academy in Helsinki – but our artistic paths have led us toward improvisation, slowness, and somatic listening. We are particularly curious about relationships that are formed not through biography or conversation, but through sensation. How can memory and recognition arise through the skin? What kind of intimacy is possible when language is absent?
"Vi opplevde å bli en tom form som fyltes og tømtes for ulike følelser. Det oppstod både aggresjon og kjærlighet, og alt i mellom. Tiden stoppet og vi ble hverandre" - Linnea & Ingeborg
"Jeg opplevde en ro jeg ikke har kjent på flere år - sist jeg følte noe lignende var da jeg drev med malerkunst." - Publikummer
